Emerging writers can send story ideas, page counts, and genre details to join the Reel Collective review queue. Kentucky college students may also apply for the Script Development Scholarship.

Reel Collective seeks short scripts that showcase strong actors, original voices, and stories that connect, challenge, and inspire. We welcome submissions from writers everywhere — all backgrounds, all perspectives, all stories.

Submission notes

1. Your logline and synopsis are required so we can review your story before reading the full script.
2. Scripts must be 20–30 pages for short film eligibility.
3. Upload your script as a PDF — required for scholarship applicants.
4. All genres and backgrounds welcome — we read every submission.
5. Kentucky college students: check the scholarship box to be considered for the Script Development Scholarship.
